Janet McCormick has over 45 years’ experience in the nail and skin industries, has a bachelor’s degree in vocational education and a master’s degree in allied health management. She is an experienced salon owner, spa director, educator, and a strong advocate for higher success for professionals in the beauty industry. She has trained, counseled, and mentored hundreds of nail technicians towards extraordinary success in their careers. “I learned early through painful mistakes that having great skills is not enough, that business skills are also very important for getting to high success,” she says. “Further experience and education was highly beneficial and now I wish to pass what I know along to nail technicians who want to achieve high success and earnings.”

Manicuring and Pedicuring Mastery is a practical and systematic approach toward learning a new protocol in manicuring and pedicuring, called skincare-based manicures and pedicures, that takes these services to a new level of success.
Requirements for the Consultation
- Janet only works with 5 persons/salons at a time so contact her as soon as you can or there may be a wait period.
- All consultations are on Zoom at an appointed time. The time allotted is 1 hour, unless previously discussed. A run-over into the next hour, when possible, constitutes a contract of another half hour.
- Not signing in for an appointed consultation initiates the charge for the session. Changes can be made in the appointment 24 hours before the appointment time.
- Sign in at the appointed time is imperative. Janet waits for 10 minutes and then charges for the consultation. Habitual lateness is discouraged as the consultation appointment is not extended beyond the time appointed. (Signing in early is not charged time. If Janet is on site, she is happy to begin early.)
- Commitment is a necessity. Every consultation appointment ends with assignments to be completed prior to the next appointment. Not completing them on two consult occasions will stimulate a discussion towards stopping the relationship.
- Five-ten minutes before the finish of the hour, homework is assigned on a priority basis. Recognizing that we all have busy lives, Janet believes priorities must be assigned in case full completion is not possible. (Not performing any of the assignments is another issue.)
- Payment is required at agreed-upon time before the consultation and prior to set of the appointment. Fees are according to the needs of the consultee.
